About the CEO

Richard Fay has a history of leading organised communities, including several years as senior pastor of a Brisbane church. In 2009, Richard suffered burn out and sought help from Rob Jones, the founder of CFMA. Richard completed the Men’s Rites of Passage in 2009 and became actively involved in the work as a volunteer. In 2013, he was appointed as CEO. 
Richard has a passion to see men transition through life stages and overcome trauma in a deep and profound way. Richard has led the Men’s Rites of Passage in Australia since 2012 and contributes to this work internationally. Richard is an established counsellor in the Brisbane area and is currently completing his spiritual direction training. Richard is married to his wife Judy and is father to three adult sons and has recently become a grandfather. Richard is also a proud supporter of the Brisbane Lions AFL club.
