The Men Like Me Poetry Competition, hosted by CFMF, is dedicated to showcasing the diverse experiences of men. This initiative seeks to provide a platform for poets to express themes of introspection, resilience, and spiritual evolution. By encouraging open dialogue through poetry, we aim to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of the male experience in today’s world.

Celebrate Your Craft
The Men Like Me Poetry Competition offers substantial rewards for creativity and expression. The first-place winner will receive $300, the second-place winner will be awarded $150, and the third-place winner will earn $100. All poems receiving Honourable Mentions will be featured in our published collection, ensuring that every voice is heard and celebrated.
Submission Guidelines
To participate in the Men Like Me Poetry Competition, please submit your original poem via email to admin@cfma.org.au.entries are open to both men and women. Ensure your submission is in a Word document, with the poem’s title clearly stated at the top. Do not include your name or any identifying information within the document. Each poem should not exceed 40 lines. An entry fee of $20 is required, which grants you access to an online copy of the collection featuring all poems, including those receiving Honourable Mentions. If submitting multiple poems, please include them all in a single email.

Poem Ownership and Rights
Ownership Rights
All poems submitted remain the intellectual property of the poet. However, by entering the competition, you grant CFMF a non-exclusive license to print, publish, and distribute your poem as part of the competition’s collection.
Publication Rights
CFMF reserves the right to include your poem in the published collection, which will be available for sale. This inclusion does not affect your ownership rights.
License Agreement
By submitting your poem, you agree to the terms of this license, allowing CFMF to use your work in promotional materials related to the competition.
Honourable Mentions
Poems receiving Honourable Mentions will be featured in the collection, and poets will be acknowledged in the publication.
