David has a varied career background. He started work as a central heating engineer and then moved into the estimating and office management. In 1973 he migrated to Australia. David worked as a quantity surveyor and senior estimator for a large plumbing contractor. In 1983 he obtained a Social Work degree from UQ. He then worked for Social Security and Queensland Rail as a staff counselor. He obtained his Master of Social Work degree in 1995. David moved to Queensland Police as a staff counselor until his retirement in 2009. David has a small private practice and has been involved with MTM/CFMA since 2007. David has 6 children and 17 grandchildren and is involved in his local church community.
David counsels in areas such as adult survivors of child abuse, alcoholic and drug abuse, perpetrators of domestic violence, couple relationships – both heterosexual and homosexual, loss and grief related to child deaths, MVA’s and other life threatening experiences.
